Driving Scooter Into Vehicle Leads To Mischief Charge

Charges have been laid after a scooter was driven into a vehicle in Chatham.

The Chatham-Kent Police Service officers were called to a business on St. Clair Street shortly after 12 p.m. on Monday, following the incident.

Authorities said a man intentionally drove a scooter into the side of the vehicle and threatened to assault the owner.

As a result, a 39-year-old Chatham man was arrested and is now charged with mischief and uttering threats. The accused, who also has a history of other criminal offences, was held in custody for a bail hearing.
