If you have expired drugs in the house there is a way to get rid of them today. Chatham-Kent police are having a drug drop off day so they can dispose of the drugs for you.
Dave Bakker is with Crime Stoppers. “It runs from10am-2pm at the Wallaceburg and Tilbury service centres and the Chatham court house. Anyone can bring any expired medication. Prescription or not…without any questions, nobody asks for any identification and we’ll dispose of it properly.
Bakker says there are many common prescription drugs that police are concerned about. “Oxycontin, Percocet, Fentanyl. Those are dangers medications. If they are in the hands of a person that shouldn’t have them, they can cause serious harm or even kill you.”
They also take items like sun screen.
