A traffic stop in Chatham has landed a Ridgetown man with several charges.
Chatham-Kent Police pulled over a vehicle on Edgar Street shortly before 9 last night and say the man behind the wheel had a suspended license and was already prohibited from driving due to a previous impaired driving conviction.
A search turned up what police refer to as a significant amount of methamphetamine, cocaine, fentanyl, and Canadian currency.
The vehicle was towed and impounded for 45 days.
The accused, a 65-year-old man, has been charged with driving while prohibited and three counts of possess of a controlled substance with the purpose of trafficking.
He was released from custody with conditions and a date in court in May.
