A Chatham man is facing impaired driving charges after falling asleep in a Tim Hortons drive-thru.

Police were called to the St Clair Street location in Chatham shortly before noon on Friday.
Officers found the driver asleep behind the wheel in the drive-thru lane with the vehicle still running.
The 22-year old had his vehicle impounded for 7 days, and has been charged with impaired driving and refusing to provide a breath sample.
