Two teenage sisters are facing charges after a fight turned violent.

Police were called to Park Avenue West shortly before 8 Wednesday evening. The two began fighting and one girl is accused of using a steak knife, causing a minor laceration, while the other allegedly used a metal platter, resulting in a minor contusion.

A 15-year-old girl is charged with assault with a weapon and was released to a family member with conditions and a future court date.

Her 17-year-old sister is also charged with assault with a weapon. She was released to her mother’s custody and will also have to appear in court at a later date.
