The Salvation Army is gearing up for the Christmas season.

The 2019 Christmas Kettle Campaign kicks off this week, hoping to raise $400,000.

The 2018 fundraiser brought in just over $421,000, about 94% of the organization’s goal for the year.

Red kettles will be out in Chatham starting this Thursday and in Wallaceburg as of the 21st.

The Blenheim campaign runs November 27th to December 7th, and in Ridgetown from December 9th to the 24th.

Volunteers will be collecting cash donations, but officials say there will also be a pair of debit machines being used at various locations around Chatham this year as well.

Meantime, the Sally Ann is looking for volunteers. Those looking to help in Chatham, Ridgetown & Blenheim call Krysia at 519-437-1784. In Wallaceburg call Pam at 519-437-1769.
