Easing Visitor Restrictions at CKHA

With Chatham-Kent’s COVID cases continuing to hover in the single digits and vaccination rates on the rise, visitor restrictions are easing at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance.

CEO Lori Marshall says the hospital has moved into Phase Green for inpatients, allowing two dedicated care partners.

“At this stage, all inpatients can designate two essential care partners and one of those  can be present at any time during visiting hours,” Marshall says.

As far as the ER goes, the hospital is still requesting those who are able to come by themselves to limit the number of people going in and out of the hospital.

“We will also work with anyone who is an end of life patient to identify additional visitors that are of importance to them, and two of those additional visitors can visit and be present at any given time.”

Outdoor visits are still an option in both Wallaceburg and Chatham.
