Electric school buses may be joining bus operators in the near future.
The Ministry of Transportation is looking at adding a 100% battery electric school bus to five bus operators in Ontario.
They’re accepting applications from bus operators, and the program will allow them to determine whether these electric buses can operate safely and cost-effectively in a range of weather conditions.
The buses will be operating at five diverse locations across the province.
