When it comes to restarting the economy during COVID-19, the Economic Recovery Task Force says moving business online is more important than ever.
Co-Chair Rocky Gaudrault made the comment during an update earlier today.
“Everything will be focused on either distance, remote, or going online for the next little while. We do have a large importance on that, and we’re working with Economic Development at the city. They have some things that they already started and we’re going to work hand-in-hand with them first and from there, bringing it back to the private sector to see what other gaps need to be filled,” said Gaudrault.
However, co-chair Mike Grail says high speed internet is an issue in Chatham-Kent, but they hope to work with the municipality on making that a priority.
The Economic Recovery Task Force is comprised of local business owners and non-profit organizations.
