It’s business as usual at Union Gas in Chatham, now that Enbridge Energy has officially taken over ownership of the utility from Spectra Energy.
Spokesperson Andrea Stass says customers won’t notice any difference on their monthly bills.
Stass says, “The merger will have no effect on the customers of Union Gas. You can count on us to provide the same level of safe and reliable service. It has no effect on impact on our rates or the services that we provide. Essentially, it’s business as usual.”
Stass says Enbridge and Union Gas will remain separate entities when it comes to distribution, so jobs at head office in Chatham won’t be affected.
