Enbridge Gas is helping Chatham-Kent Fire & Emergency Services purchase new training materials.
The Safe Community Project Assist is a program with the Fire Marshal’s Public Fire Safety Council that supplements existing training for Ontario volunteer and composite fire departments in the communities where Enbridge operates.
“We would like to thank Enbridge for the continued support dedicated to training firefighters across CK,” Fire Chief Chris Case says. “With over 400 firefighters in our career and volunteer sectors, access to training materials is essential to keeping both firefighters and our community safe.”
In all, $250,000 will be shared by 50 Ontario fire departments, including Chatham-Kent, to purchase educational materials for firefighters to enhance life-saving techniques.
