Today is the National Day of Remembrance and Action to End Violence Against Women.

December 6th marks the 30th anniversary of the Montreal Massacre, where 14 woman were murdered by one man at Ecole Polytechnique de Montreal.

The local Coordinating Committee to End Violence Against Women is hosting an event at the Chatham Cultural Centre from 10:45 to 1:15 today.

The keynote speaker will be human rights advocate, survivor and bestselling author Samra Zafar.
