Some agricultural workers in Leamington will soon have new housing.
Through the Enbridge Gas Commercial Energy Efficiency Incentive program, Liovas Homes has been given $23,000 in incentives for projects that will reduce the energy needed for heat and hot water and  improve occupants comfort in “96” newly built housing units for agricultural workers in Leamington.
The project covers installation of 96 Energy Recovery Ventilators (ERV’s,) six per building, and 32 condensing boilers. The combination of installations will reduce natural gas use by 72,440 m3 a year, a savings of approximately $8,692 a year in addition to the incentive rebate.
The installation of the ERVs will ensure that the living quarters are properly ventilated, while using less energy to heat/cool the indoor air that’s brought into the space.
The Enbridge Gas Commercial Energy Efficiency Incentive program is designed to guide, assist and reward end use customers to improve energy efficiency and environmental performance in new construction or on major renovation projects.
