Progress is being made on finding a solution to recent flooding on Erie Shore Drive.

Council passed a motion to hire an engineer to find the best way to prevent flooding.

Councillor Karen Herman says this is exactly what the residents wanted.

“The residents of Erie Shore Drive have come together and organized themselves and said that this is what they want. We’ve heard them loud and clear”, says Herman.

The Municipality is also asking the federal and provincial government for funding, as the flooding is a Lake Erie issue, not a rain issue.
