The St. Clair Catholic District School Board is releasing the annual EQAO scorecard results.
Grade 3 students did better than the provincial averages in reading and writing, with 79 percent making the grade in reading and 71 percent in writing, compared to 74 and 69 provincially. Math scores were nearly identical at 59 and 58.
In Grade six 84 percent made the reading benchmark compared to 81 province wide. Writing was nearly identical at 83 and 82m while math saw a sharp decline at just 38 percent, short of the 48 percent average in Ontario.
In Grade 9 math results, the SCCDSB students were well above the provincial average when it comes to meeting the standard.
