The latest standardized provincial test results are hit and miss locally.
Only 50% of Grade 3 and 6 kids in the Lambton Kent District School Board are meeting the provincial standard when it comes to math. In the English Catholic board, it climbs ever so slightly to 53%.
That’s according to the latest figures released Wednesday.
While local kids are struggling in math, on the reading and writing side it’s a better result.
Three out of every four kids are making the grade in grade 3-6 in the Catholic system, while in the public stream it’s 74%.
