Erie Shore Drive Work Continues

Work is on time and on budget as emergency repairs continue on Erie Shore Dr. But long term solutions still need to be wrestled with.

During a special emergency meeting held Friday night, council heard the work is going as well as could be expected, with more than 425 loads of concrete block and clay already delivered.

Staff also presented one option that will be discussed on April 27th. That would include a new, second berm created behind the current dike, with no road access for homeowners, although there would be a potential trail or private drive.

That comes at an estimated cost of $6-million, which would be shared between homeowners, farmers, and the municipality.
