Erieau Boulevard Plans Available For Public Comment

Area residents are being asked to provide their thoughts on the concept design for Erieau Boulevard.

The Municipality of Chatham-Kent has launched an online forum for the public to view and comment on the Tree Management Plan and Conceptual Site Plan for Erieau Boulevard, which stretches along Mariners Road and Ross Lane.

The area is used for both passive recreation and special events.

“The site plan provides an opportunity to ensure that future development is intentional and meets the needs of the community,” said Ian Clark, CK’s manager of Parks, Recreation and Cemeteries, in a news release. “It will play a crucial role in communicating a consistent and shared vision for the space.”

During a community workshop in July 2024, the community identified parking, traffic control, pedestrian safety and accessibility as important considerations for the plan.

Those interested in viewing and providing feedback on the concept site plan can do so on the Let’s Talk Chatham-Kent website by clicking here. The deadline for submissions is June 27.

The plans for Erieau Boulevard will be presented to council at a future meeting.
