Erieau Road is getting an upgrade, and the Municipality wants to know if residents have any concerns.
The road will be reconstructed near Erie Shore Drive, and is expected to be closed for 3 weeks in May.
Manager of Infrastructure Services Chris Thibert says a public information meeting is being held tonight for Erieau property and business owner.
“We do realize that this is the main and really only entrance into Erieau and there will be a fair amount of people affected by this work. We just want to bring this to their attention, explain how we’re going to be staging this presentation, and we encourage everyone to attend,” says Thibert.
Thibert says a detour will be setup through Erie Shore Drive. He says precautions are in place in case Erie Shore Drive needs to be closed in case of an emergency, at which point Erieau Road will re-open to allow traffic to get through.
Tonight’s meeting is an ‘open-house’ format, and is taking place from 6-8pm at the Erieau Fire Hall, 780 Ross Lane, in the Multipurpose Room.
