A Thamesville man is facing a slew of charges after being pulled over by Chatham-Kent Police last night.

Authorities were initially called about an erratic driver around Grant Street in Chatham – officers tracked down the vehicle on Victoria Avenue a short time later.

Suspecting the driver may have been impaired by drugs, the officer brought him back to headquarters for tests.

Police now say the vehicle had been reported stolen from West Lorne, and the accused was also found carrying several stolen cheques.

The 41-year-old has been charged with impaired driving, possession of stolen property under $5000, possession of stolen property over $5000, and driving while suspended.
