A young girl is recovering in hospital following an ATV crash in Colchester.
Emergency crews responded to a property on Dunn Road around 6 o’clock Tuesday evening.
Investigators say a group of young people were riding off-road vehicles when a 12-year-old, who was part of the group, was hit.
The girl was initially taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries. Essex OPP say her condition has since stabilized and she has been transferred to the Children’s Hospital of Michigan for further treatment.
The West Region OPP Traffic Incident, Management and Enforcement team is assisting Essex OPP as the investigation continues.
