A Windsor resident won’t be getting behind the wheel any time soon after officers allegedly clocked their vehicle travelling more than 60 km/h over the speed limit.
The Ontario Provincial Police said officers pulled the vehicle over on Highway 401 in Chatham-Kent on Saturday at around 9:35 p.m.
Authorities alleged the vehicle was speeding 162 km/h in a 100 km/h zone.
As a result, a 27-year-old from Windsor has been charged with stunt driving. The driver was also issued a 30-day driver’s licence suspension and their vehicle will be impounded for 14 days.
