One person has been airlifted to hospital following an explosion and fire in a residential garage in Merlin.
Emergency crews responded a William Street property near Merlin Road shortly before 8 o’clock this morning.
Chatham-Kent Fire officials say one man was taken to hospital with serious injuries, and has been transferred to a burn unit.
No word yet on what sparked the fire or the extent of damage.
CK Fire investigators remain on scene, with staff from the Ontario Fire Marshal’s office also expected on site.
