A celebration of visual art kicks off later this week.
Friday marks the opening of Eye 4 Art at the Thames Art Gallery, a juried exhibit of 88 pieces curated by modern pop surrealist and Wallaceburg native Troy Brooks.
An opening reception will be held Friday, November 1 at 7pm with includes gourmet fall flavoured appetizers, live acoustic entertainment with local musician “BREN”, and a cash bar with a specialty autumn cocktail.
Several awards will be handed out with Juror’s Awards of Excellence going to Tracy Bultje, Mike Thain, and Meghan Peeters. The People’s Choice Award will be voted on by the public.
Eye 4 Art is a free event, but donations are encouraged. All proceeds will go to ARTspace, a not-for-profit gallery dedicated to the promotion and development of Chatham-Kent artists.
The exhibit will remain on display until January 12, 2025.
