A local family is making a sizable donation to fight the stigma around Pediatric Autoimmune Neuropsychiatric Disorders Associated with Streptococcal Infections (PANDAS).
The Vilaranda family held a weekend fundraiser in conjunction with Blenheim based Handy Bros. Climate Care, raising a total of $4,600.
The money will go towards raising awareness and funding research through the provincial organization.
The Vilaranda’s family has been dealing with the OCD that is brought on by the disease for years since they son Julian contracted it.
