Farm Safety Day Fast Approaching

Plans are in the works for this year’s Chatham-Kent Farm Safety Day.

The one-day training session takes place July 19th at the University of Guelph Ridgetown Campus.

The day is geared towards both rural and urban kids between the ages of 5 and 12, covering a number of topics including chemical and fire safety, grain safety, and proper bike riding techniques.

The deadline to register is this Friday at 4pm.

Consent forms can be dropped off or mailed to the Ridgetown Independent News, 1 Main Street West, PO Box 609, Ridgetown ON, N0P 2C0 or emailed to rfsd.signup@gmail.com.

The cost is $5.00, including a hot dog lunch, snacks, t-shirt, hat, take home goody bag, and entry into a bike draw.
