Area farmers are waiting for winter to kick in. A little bit of snow would be welcome as that can keep the fields healthy and after a lower than average yield last year it is greatly needed. Farmers are looking for the snow to protect winter wheat from the impact of frost with the harsh months January through to March coming up that snow will be needed.
