Two people have been killed following a three-vehicle crash west of Wheatley.
According to Essex OPP, an eastbound pickup truck crossed the centre line on County Road 34 shortly before 7 o’clock this morning and sideswiped a utility van before colliding head-on with a westbound sedan.
Two people in the sedan were pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the pickup was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
The driver of the van wasn’t hurt.
Essex County Road 34 between Essex County Road 37 and Essex County Road 21 remains closed in both directions as authorities continue to investigate.
