The Ontario Fire Marshal’s Office has been called in to investigate a fatal apartment fire in Chatham Saturday afternoon.
Chatham-Kent police are also looking into the blaze at 50 Merritt Ave that broke out about 4 pm.
Crews from Station #1 and #2 responded to the call.
The efforts continue to determine the identity of the deceased, and the origin of the fire.
No more information is being released pending the investigation.
