Some local officials will be taking part in this week’s Federation of Canadian Municipalities’ Annual Conference.
Chatham-Kent CAO Don Shropshire and councillors Karen Kirkwood-Whyte and Mary Claire Latimer will be attending sessions at the virtual conference, which runs today through June 4th.
The theme for this year’s event is FORWARD, visualizing cities, communities and a country beyond the COVID-19 pandemic.
The conference also welcomes keynote addresses from the leaders of major federal political parties; each highlighting the importance of the federal-municipal partnership.
