Five people are facing charges following a drug bust in Wallaceburg.

Officers with the Chatham-Kent Police Service and the Ontario Provincial Police executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant at a residence on Bluewater Line on Saturday.

Officers seized $3,500 worth of suspected fentanyl, methamphetamine, and lysergic acid. Three sawed-off firearms, ammunition, cell phones, digital scales, and a debit list were also seized.

A 43-year-old man from Wallaceburg has been charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking, two counts of drug possession, three counts of unauthorized possession of a firearm, and three counts of failing to comply with release conditions.

A 41-year-old Walpole Island man, a 41-year-old Walpole Island woman, a 31-year-old Walpole Island man, and a 45-year-old Wallaceburg woman have all been charged with multiple counts of drug possession and unauthorized possession of a firearm.

All five suspects have been released from custody with a future court date on February 17.
