Over $110,000 has been raised in support of the Children’s Treatment Centre of Chatham-Kent.
President of the Children’s Treatment Centre Foundation, Mike Genge says Friday’s Festival of Golf at Willow Ridge Golf and Country Club couldn’t have been better.
“We had a really, really, really great turnout,” Genge says. “We raised, just on the auction, $38,500. That’s absolutely amazing, I think it’s the most we’ve ever made on the auction.”
The grand prize, won by Mark Chapus, was a $25,000 trip for four to Scotland.
38 teams with 150 golfers took part in the 6th annual tournament.
Proceeds from the event directly support therapy and services for children and youth, including social work, therapeutic recreation, and music therapy.
Plans are now in the works for the 7th annual Festival of Golf, slated to be held next September.
