Tis the season. For RIDE checkpoints and that’s something that is hasn’t changed during these days of COVID-19.

Chatham-Kent Police are celebrating the holiday season by getting out on the roads to keep an eye out for motorists who have been indulging in Christmas spirits.

To mark Wednesday’s National Day of Remembrance for Road Crash Victims, officers stopped 480 drivers across the municipality with no infractions.

However, they still want motorists to be aware they will be out there with spot checks and RIDE check points so do not drink and drive.
