A celebration of local and international films and filmmakers is returning to Chatham-Kent.

The Chatham-Kent International Film Festival is back for its fourth year with several screenings and panels at the Kiwanis Theatre from September 30 to October 2.

“It has been amazing to watch this festival grow, not just in submissions from the world, but the interest from Chatham-Kent,” said Festival Director Robert Bellamy in a news release. “This festival was started to showcase the talents of people around the world and bring entertainment to Chatham-Kent. I really think people will enjoy the selections this year and can’t wait to see what the future holds.”

The festival will culminate with a screening of the full-length film feature The Scare House, which was filmed in Windsor. Filmmaker Gavin Michael Booth will also provide a behind-the-scenes look at the making of the movie.

The film festival will also feature opportunities to meet the filmmakers, with tours planned at Sons of Kent Brewery and The Josiah Henson Museum. Pre-festival and post-screening parties will also be held to celebrate the films and their creators.
