One mayoral candidate has big plans for Chatham-Kent if he is elected this October.
Allan Traylor says he wants to build a coliseum big enough to hold 250,000 people.
“I want the coliseum to double as a doomsday bunker, eventually that’s where I want a life-sized board to be for the Monopoly game,” Traylor says. “The coliseum should have five floors, an arena, one will be grass, it’ll be about 12-feet deep, there’ll be trees in it, and then a glass bubble over it creating both air and water.”
Traylor says his other plans include re-purposing abandoned buildings, tackling local flooding issues, and improving infrastructure.
“I have an idea that will create a whole lot of work for Chatham-Kent for example Wallaceburg has a lot of empty buildings, factories, these can be utilized.”
The Chatham resident ran for mayor in the 2010 election.
