Finalists Chosen For Providence Board’s Smile Challenge

It’s all smiles as celebrations to mark the 25th anniversary of French Catholic education continue in Ontario.

Local students with the Providence Catholic School Board are taking part in the Smiles Challenge, a contest spread across more than 300 schools to display their creativity.

25 Years of Smiles, an original competition to bring out the beautiful smiles of their school communities, was launched earlier this year and has since generated over 3600 entries. Twelve finalists have been chosen from each of Ontario’s 8 French-language school boards.

Students, staff, and the general public are now invited to visit the L’École catholique website to vote for their favourite “smile”. Voting continues until May 7th with cash prizes up for grabs for the top three finalists.

The winners will be announced May 10th.

The Providence board alone includes almost 10,000 students in its 33 schools, including 24 elementary schools and 9 high schools from Windsor to Woodstock, and also covers the Grey-Bruce and Huron-Perth regions.
