An investigation is ongoing following a house fire in Ridgetown.
Chatham-Kent Fire and Rescue responded to the blaze at 61 Ebenezer Street West on Tuesday around 3 a.m. Firefighters arrived to find the home fully engulfed in flames.
The neighbouring homes were evacuated as a precaution, as firefighters worked to defensively to protect the properties. No injuries were reported
Due to the severity of the fire, damage to the home is estimated at around $500,000.
Police are conducting an investigation into the cause, however, fire officials have not confirmed if the fire is believed to be suspicious in nature.
