CK Public Health is confirming the first positive case of COVID-19 in the municipality
A 52-year-old Chatham man recently returned from a cruise in the Caribbean.
The patient is recovering in quarantine at home. CK Public Health is following up with his close contacts, who will be advised to self-isolate for the next 14 days.
Medical Officer of Health Dr. David Colby says this in no way changes the plan and people must continue to closely abide by the measures put in place.
A COVID-19 assessment center will open at the Chatham site of the CKHA on Thursday.
