Sarnia Police have 2 people in custody in connection with the first murder of 2016.
A vehicle chase resulting in OPP using stop sticks to bring the vehicle to a halt. The OPP stating in a release that the vehicle was of interest in an ongoing murder investigation. The body of Jonathon Pike was found on Tashmoo Avenue on Friday.
A 27-year-old female and a 30-year-old male were taken into custody as a result of the car chase. They are currently charged with drug related offenses but are also being investigated in relationship to the murder.
The Police are asking for the public’s assistance in the investigation as they hope to gather more information.
