Five Busted Following Drug Trafficking Investigation

Four men and a woman are all facing drug trafficking charges following a police investigation on Walpole Island.

Officers with the Ontario Provincial Police and Walpole Island Police Service arrested the five suspects during traffic stops on February 15. Multiple searches were then conducted by officers leading to the seizure of suspected fentanyl, cocaine, ammunition, and distribution materials.

A 34-year-old Wallaceburg man, a 25-year-old Wallaceburg man, a 30-year-old Chatham man, a 24-year-old Windsor man, and a 32-year-old woman from St. Clair Township have all been charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking.

The 32-year-old and 34-year-old are also charged with transporting ammunition in a careless manner and failing to comply with probation order, while the 25-year-old is additionally charged with resisting arrest.
