Charges have been laid following a hit-and-run collision in Petrolia.

Ontario Provincial Police officers responded to the two-vehicle collision on Petrolia Line between Tank Street and First Avenue at around 7:30 p.m. on Saturday.

Authorities said a passenger vehicle struck a pick-up truck before leaving the scene. No injuries were reported.

A suspect was eventually arrested on Sunday at the Petrolia OPP detachment.

As a result, a 50-year-old Petrolia man has been charged with dangerous driving and failing to remain at the scene of a crash. He has since been released from custody with a date in court next month.
