Nothing like turning on the lights on a big Christmas tree to put you in the holiday spirit, and that is what will happen Monday night in Chatham.

The annual Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Foundation Christmas tree will light up at 6:30 at the hospital.

It’s a great way to bring the community together to honor family and friends who have passed on, and raise money for new projects.

Mary Lou Crowley is the Foundations Director. “ This year the money is going for two vital pieces of life saving equipment. A transport defibrillator that can save a life after a heart attack, and a monitor to measure your hearts activity. So again two very important pieces of equipment that will be used at both the Wallaceburg site as well as Chatham.”

This year they will not be lighting the Wallaceburg tree at the same time, instead flipping the switch on Thursday night at 6 o’clock.
