The Lower Thames Valley Conservation Authority is issuing a flood warning for the Lake Erie Shoreline.
According to officials high winds are driving the waves onto our Lake Erie shoreline in Chatham-Kent and Elgin County.
Flooding has occurred along Erie Shore Drive in Chatham-Kent and a section of the road has been closed until further notice.
Other flood prone areas along Lake Erie could be affected.
Residents along the high bluff areas are also advised to stay away from the edge of the bluff.
Winds will remain strong into the overnight.
