Flood Watch Continues Along the Sydenham

Local conservation authority officials continue to keep a close watch on area waterways.

High water on the Sydenham River, June 25, 2019.

Although expected rain overnight didn’t amount to as much as had been forecast, the St Clair Region Conservation Authority warns that winds from the west can slow the flow of water out of the Sydenham, contributing to high water levels and potential flooding.

More rain could be coming in the days ahead. Officials will reassess the flood watch tomorrow.
