The Rotary Club of Chatham is spearheading a push to help get local retailers back on solid ground following the Thames flood.
Past-president Alysson Storey says the group wants to see people shopping in the downtown cores of Chatham and Thamesville.
“Our own Rotary office was surrounded by floodwaters for several days,” Storey explains. “We wanted to do something and do something quick to promote and raise awareness about to get people downtown and some money back in the tills to help our local businesses back on their feet.”
Storey says they’re aiming for the weekend of March 9th and 10th but if you can’t make it, just go when you can to support those businesses affected by the flood.
