Flooding Assistance Info Meetings

A pair of public meetings are being held this week for anyone who suffered property loss or damage during the recent Thames River flood.

This Wednesday in Chatham, and Thursday in Thamesville, anyone affected by the recent flooding event will be able to find out how to apply for financial assistance.

Details about how to apply for the Disaster Recovery Assistance for Ontarians programĀ  which is available for affected homeowners, renters, small businesses, and not-for-profit organizations, will be explained.

The meetings will be held at the Civic Centre in Chatham on Wednesday, and at the Legion in Thamesville on Thursday, both meetings start at 6pm.

The Municipality estimates that 120 homes and businesses were damaged by flood waters in both Chatham and Thamesville.
