The Lower Thames Valley Conservation Authority has issued a flood watch for the Lake Erie shoreline.
Southerly wind gusts are predicted to reach up to 85 km/hr. tomorrow.
Wave heights are expected to peak around 3m or 10′ Wednesday morning.
Conservation authority officials say there is a risk that waves could damage shoreline protection and cause shoreline erosion.
Vulnerable areas could see localized flooding due to waves crashing against shoreline protection works spraying water up onto the land.
Erie Shore Drive is particularly susceptible with flooding any time winds rise 35 km/hr from a southerly direction.
This flood advisory will be in effect until Thursday the 5th.
