Flu season is around the corner, and free vaccines are available starting this week.
They are available at doctor’s offices, public health units, pharmacies, and community immunization clinics.
Those most at risk of getting seriously ill from influenza are children under five, pregnant women, and seniors.
To further avoid getting sick, make sure to wash your hands often with soap and water, or by using hand sanitizes, and disinfect surfaces such as countertops, phones, and keyboards as the virus can live on surfaces for up to 8 hours.
