Food Drive To Support Salvation Army Food Banks

The Knights of Columbus is holding an annual spring fundraiser to help those in Chatham-Kent who are facing food insecurity.

The Knights of Columbus Council #1412 is conducting a spring mega-sized food drive at Food Basics and the Real Canadian Super Store in Chatham, with all donations going to the Salvation Army Chatham-Kent Ministries Food Bank and the Wallaceburg Food Pantry. The food drive runs through Saturday, April 5.

Volunteers will be at both grocery stores to provide shoppers with a list of much-needed food supplies, which can be left with the volunteers after checking out. Salvation Army red kettles will be present for shoppers to leave monetary donations, as well.

The local Salvation Army is currently supporting over 1,000 individuals facing food insecurity within the municipality.
