Ursuline College, John McGregor Secondary School, and St Anne School teamed up to collect non-perishable food donations as part of last fall’s We Scare Hunger campaign.

Staff at Victory Ford in Chatham helped to collect the donations, which filled the backs of 25 F150 trucks.

All told, the food drive amassed 25,000 pounds of food for the Blenheim Baptist Church food bank and Outreach for Hunger.

Before that though, Ford officials will be welcoming Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Premier Kathleen Wynne in Windsor for an announcement at the Essex Engine Plant.

While no specifics have been released, those in the auto industry are hopeful the company will invest and possibly expand the Windsor plant’s operations.
